HUNTER TOOLS / wick trimmer + snuffer + wick dipper
These tools are designed to enhance the life, and quality of your candles. As such, these will be found in any respected candle enthusiast’s space.
These oddly shaped scissors are designed to be used in any size candle, small or large to snip the excess of the wick, enabling a stable burning candle. When you do this you are encouraging the below:
Clean burn, avoiding dark smoke
Clean glass, avoiding smoky candle jars
Ample fragrance diffusion, to enhance the scent diffusion while burning
Burn safely, a longer wick creates a higher flame which can be dangerous
Prevent mushrooming, and remove the excess wick
Snip the excess or “bent” part of your wick before or after burning your candle, when it’s at room temperature. Do not snip when the candle is lit. Avoid cutting too short, as your wick will drown.
The candle snuffer has more of an impact than you think on your candles life. If you “blow out” a candle, your force can encourage the wick to move in the molten wax, causing an uneven burn. You also may splash molten wax over your candle, and it’s setting. It also promotes excess smoke, and you will see the wick continue to smoulder. The snuffer gently allows your wick to extinguish. This goes hand in hand with your wick dipper.
The dipper is used to gently dip the wick after being snuffed in the candles wax. This will immediately stop smoke, and smouldering, allowing you to continue to enjoy the candles scent diffused in your space. This will also create a slight layer of the wax on the wick to protect it until your next burn. The dipper can also be used to retrieve your wick, or to simply straighten your wick. We can at times neglect our candles burning guides. This tool will save even the most “lost” looking candles.
Simply run warm water over your tools and dry them ready for use.
Your tools come in a Hunter calico bag where you can store your tools. This bag can be washed in the washing machine when needed, and reused!
